    Suprema Ammo

I have shot some, the 1 oz loads of 7.5 shot at 1315 fps, I was using it to shoot silo pigeons and it worked well on them. I also observed it was a clean burning shell. sorry, no experience on pheasants.

    Browning or Beretta?

It is too light for me to have a nice smooth swing with. I get along sooo much better with my browning 525 so it is for sale.

    Browning or Beretta?

Birdshooter, I guess I run in the same thought process as you. I get along way better with browning over unders. I like my 525 sporting clays gun. Tried a beretta 682 gold e sporting clays gun.... it was not a pleasant outcome. It is for sale. For autoloaders I get along better with...

    Trap guns

I use an 870 wingmaster field gun for singles and handicap trap, The stock is lengthened to fit me. I tried a few different guns designed for trap, but found after giving them an honest trial that the 870 field gun and I just get along too good to think I should be using a real trap gun.

Is This a Good First Gun?

as mentioned by other a remington 870 in 20 gauge would be a very good first gun to get started with. Can be used as a single shot until you get comfortable, confident, and familiar with it's use and correct safety handling. It is also a gun that you can use for a long long time. I still...

Which rates higher, the shot vs. the work of the dog

I enjoy watching good pointing dogs do their work, and seeing the birds. The shot itself isn't as big a deal to me.

    20 gauge loads for Pheasant

I prefer 5's or even 4's to have less and bigger easier to find pellets to pick out of the bird being a good thing from my perspective.

Like fine wine, what's your favorite brand/load?

Federal used to make 1 1/4 oz copper plated 1220 fps loads in the paper hulls. especially in 4 or 5 shot. I have a few boxes of them I recently found on clearance at an old mom and pop hardware store. The ones I have are called Federal Premium Paper. They are 7.5 shot, so I use them on pigeons...

Like fine wine, what's your favorite brand/load?

I have not shot the fiocci's but I do like the better grade of Winchesters and Federals (not the prairie storms though) I like shot size 4 and 5 for pheasants, either 1 1/8 oz or 1 1/4 oz loads.

Your opinion about my 20-guage, please.

Your new 525 is a fine shotgun. I am a big fan of 525's myself. I really get along nicely with that particular model.
