Had a little rain last night. Birds held today better than they have all season. Garmin said my big runner was stopped 900 yards out. Figured he had a deer carcuss. By time I got there his butt and tail were straight up and he was rested on his elbows with a nice covey holdin tight. Hilarious

quail Talked to a neighbor who farms several different places tonight. He claims to have seen more young birds than he has ever seen here. He has only been here about 6 years by the way. He sounded pretty promising never the less.
