2007 Pheasant Hunting Photos & Reports

Photos Those are real good action photos. Getting multiple bird action photos are difficult. Nice group photo. Looks like there was a lot of shooting going on. How many rounds did it take to bag that many? HA HA

    Best dog collar?

Dog Collar TriTronics is a good brand. I recently purchased a Dogtra 1500 1 dog model and am very satisfied with it. I borrowed the Dogtra model previous to the purchase. It has a 1/2 mile range and was $240 brand new. For the $ I am very happy. I don't get caught up in the real long...

    Hunting with .410 pistol

22 and 410 pistol Technically pheasants are considered small game in MN. Small game can be hunted with a 22 but nothing larger caliber than that. I have heard of the 22 and roadside thing. I have also seen where hunters have attempted to shoot a rooster sitting in a tree w/ a 22. In MN it...

    Hunting with .410 pistol

410 Pistol I believe it is technically legal, but it seems like a grey area. I know it is legal to hunt small game with it, but why would you want to hunt pheasants with it? Hopefully it is used only for road hunting. I think if you here to take a shot at a flier it would only get injured...

    gun shy dog

Gun Shy I am not an expert but I do have a hunting dog I raised and is now successful. A few questions: Is the dog inside with you? I was told by other hunters to have them inside to get used to you and people. It developes trust. How much time is spent each day with your dog? The more...

    Estate

Of all the different types of ammo on the market, for the $ I have the best luck with Estate. It is inexpensive and works just as well as the "top of the line" spendy ammo. With the price of ammo these days and amount of shooting done in SD Estate is the way to go. ESTATE FOR LIFE!
