    Headed to SD for the new year.

    Just returned from a 3 day trip in north central SD. Was fortunate to have beautiful weather and saw 500+ birds every day as they were bunched up in cattails adjacent to picked corn. It was tough to work certain areas with 2 hunters / 2 dogs walking together as they would bust out ahead but...

    Firearms east of the river ended the 7th. Muzzleloader and archery are ongoing. Good luck.

    SDak Phez hunting electronics?

    I used the baseline version of OnX Maps this fall. Essentially its the SD hunting atlas ingrained with GPS. I believe it was $10 for a years subscription. They offer a "deluxe" version for some states that also lists landowner information but it doesn't yet exist for SD.
