Yes it's Tom dokkens. Although I don't think he has much to do with it anymore. Right around $600 for two weeks.

Dog is currently 10 weeks old. She just wants an obedient dog with basic hunt training.

My sister is looking for a trainer for her golden puppy. She currently has a spot with oak ridge kennels in Northfield MN. 2 week intro bird and gun and 10 week class after It's in April so still has time to switch. Has anyone used them? Any other place in Southern MN? Thanks

Has anyone thought that the cattails are considerably thicker then normal in most spots. Like there is grass growing in them. I'm assuming it has to do with the summer drought.

Hunt the hwy 60 corridor. Anywhere from Mankato to Worthington. Seemed like the further west you went the bird numbers were not what I've seen in the past. But still plenty of flushes everytime we went out. We also tried a few new spots which is helpful in the future.

A lot of places we hunted from Mankato to Worthington area were pretty dry. Not all but some smaller shallower cattail sloughs were almost completely dry. Anywhere by a lake was plenty wet in the cattails though. Don't think I'll be hunting till freeze up at this point.

Finally done bowhunting and going to be heading to sw MN next weekend. What are the sloughs like after all the dry weather this summer. Is there deep water in the cattails or is it walkable.

Hunted St James, madelia area solo Friday. Saw a dozen birds of which 3 roosters. Hens held tight, roosters not so much. Still some standing corn up in the area.

Hunted around windom area today. There was so much hunting pressure that it was hard to find an unoccupied spot. The birds were in the cattails but were very spooky. Didn't even fire a shot. Ice was in good shape though. We'll maybe get out one more time this year.

Hunted in wantowan county Sunday. We shot two roosters and should've had two more. But not a whole lot of birds total. Hopefully the cattails freeze soon.

Went out the day before Christmas Eve in SW mn. Conditions were poor but a lot of birds were sighted. Ended up with one rooster. Birds were very spooky and didn't see many roosters. The ice in the cattails was very iffy and I think they're going to be a lot worse after the Christmas rain...
