    Snacks, Meals?

Snacks usually consist of deer jerky, deer summer sausage, and whatever goodies the wives whipped up for our trip. Most years, we make bbq and have sandwiches on the tailgate. On local hunts, I just throw a protein bar or a small pack of deer jerky in the truck, maybe a banana. On our OOS...

South Dakota Pheasant Hunting Is Changing, Or Has Changed

Just got back from our SD trip. I can't speak to the breakfast cafe's as we get out on the road early to scout, but the hunter pressure was unlike anything I have seen before. Been going to this same area for 5+ years and it was rare to run into another hunter, maybe once over the entire...

Anyone give up another form of hunting all together to just hunt birds instead?

Yall should give up hunting and take up golf. It's year round and all the rage. Tell your friends.

    Lewistown, MT are there birds?

I have never once driven west over the Mississippi and, especially not to the continental divide, and found myself disappointed when I got there. Hope you guys have a great trip. Don't tell your friends. Too many people know already.

    [SOLD] 16ga F.A.I.R. (I. Rizzini) SLX 600 DeLuxe Black

I just got a basic model of the gun in 16 as well and it has extractors. I was curious if this upgraded model had the ejectors. Beautiful gun.

    Meat handling while traveling

I like aging birds, especially ducks. Make sure the birds can get some airflow around them. You don't want to stack a bunch of warm birds on top of each other, even in a fridge the bottom birds might stay warm for a long time and spoil. On our big trip west, we clean birds every day. 2...

    Rain Dance

I haven't danced a jig in over a month. I'd likely black out from heat stroke even if I tried. If anyone has some cold air to spare please send it to SC.

    Constantly hungry

Floating food in water is a great idea to slow an eager dog down, promote satiety, or to help get more water in after a hard day's work. However, if you have a dog that is prone to tartar buildup, and some dogs are more susceptible than others, you may not want to do it every time. The...

    Constantly hungry

Genetic Mutation making prone to obesity, I remembered reading this a while back. Maybe your dog has the gene mutation. I switched all of mine to Inukshuk after struggling to keep weight with PPP, specifically my Chesapeake, who was eating a full cup more than prescribed and still doing poorly.

    Rain Dance

I was watching those temps as well. Hopefully most haven't hatched yet and the hens will get by for a few days without suffering too much.

Food plot prep work is beginning

We got sunflowers in the ground just about a month ago. Took a gamble on getting them down that early, but everyone's calendar was full until it would have been too late. Been a warm spring and we've finally had a bout of decent rain so we should do ok. Just a small field for a few of us...

    Rain Dance

Some of you fellas need to strip down and start your very best renditions, I can't do it all from down here in the south. How bad is it on the ground? I've been watching the forecast in some of my favorite areas and haven't seen any appreciable amounts to talk about.
