Hunted opening weekend and again this last weekend. NW part of the state. Lots of birds. They were sitting super tight for us. Quite a few flushed underfoot or behind us if the dogs missed them. No complaints from me on the number or quality birds this year.

I've been doing a schnitzel lately. Pound out a couple breasts kinda flat, season them, dredge in flour, then egg, then a breading (I like the Shore Lunch Fried Chicken Breading). After that fry them in real butter. No so healthy, but oh so good.

I just got the Orvis Pro Series a few days ago. Overall I’m very impressed with the quality and features. I have yet to use it in the field but just from messing around with it I don’t foresee any major issues. Time will tell though.
