    Whats the consensus?

    I went Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. Last time I hunted SD was in 2012. I thought the bird numbers were bad in 2012........I was wrong, bird numbers are terrible this year. Hunted around Winner on Friday, and Platte, Geddes area on Saturday. Not many birds around. Very bad trip...

    How was the opener

    Opening day, hunted hard all day. Lots of corn still in. 7 guys, 3 dogs, 11 roosters, 2 quail, 1 coyote. Sunday. Hunted until noon. 5 guys, 2 dogs, 6 roosters. Numbers seem to be down from last year, but hard to tell with so much corn still in. Hunted 20% public, 80% private. 3 of the 17...

    Does anyone have any Grouse reports from the sandhills region. My boys and I were going to go this past weekend but the rain scared us away. Looking to head to Halsey October 7th weather permitting. This will be our 4th year. Last two years were excellent hunting. Noplclkneb
