I've seen a few posts on the web saying not to trust Beretta chokes, but to replace them with custom made. Since this is a 28" barrel I'm fine with flush mount chokes. Just need to find one of the better choke mfg's that make replacements.

This Instinct L uses Mobil chokes. I've threatened to get skeet 1 &II for it. Not sure where to find them

Sounds like you get closer shots than I normally do. I don't have a dog and when hunting in our group I'm mostly away from the dogs.

Been pheasant hunting with a Dickinson Estate 28" 16 ga for about 10 years now. It's for sure my goto gun except when its cold enough I have to wear gloves too bulky to use the double triggers. 1 1/8 oz home loaded 5s@1250-1270fps sure gets the job done.

I've been wearing a pair of Cabelas chaps for about 20 years. Helps when the grass is wet or frosty and comes close to warming my legs as much as a pair of long johns. Then I can take them off midday or so when it warms up

Me too, but I'll be 72 next month. heading back up to SD Friday with family and friends.
