Im also a fan of the more compact brittish labs. you should never buy a dog based on its color or looks but a blocky, well built lab is a beautiful thing. If i were to buy another lab it would prob be from Triven or Dokkens kennels. And i know some will disagree but id go with a pointing lab...
My dog points pheasants, flushes pheasants and will retrieve ducks in the coldest of waters but other than that he's a pain in the ass:D. Ive been considering either a wire haired pointing griffon or a brittany for a kennel mate.
Ive never seen a bobwhite so that would be a treat but i also have never experienced the flush of sd pheasant hunt. So being the absolute biggest pheasant phreak in the milky way id have to say rudys in south D!
When brining meat you create a reverse osmosis effect, in which water that is already in the cells of the meat comes out and is replaced with the salt/sugar water from the brine, which intern flavors and helps maintain moistness in the cell walls of the proteins.
Does anyone have a link to a good website explaining how to remove one of these traps from your dog. Im very sorry to hear your story but im sure it will save a many dog. thank you for sharing, good luck to you and your new friend.
if the birds not gut shot youre ok to hang it. if it is.....clean it right away. I have found that 3 days is the magic number to hang a well placed shot bird.
