Alot of guys knocking the Browning O/U . I dont know why I have the Browning Citori Lightning in a 20 with 28 in barrels. Yes it is heavier than the beratta which my buddy has but swings a hell of a lot smoother than the 686. In y opinion the 686 is good for snap shooting upland but for say...
Dont knock it I personally saw one a few times at the preserve I go and let me tell this labradoodle is goood covers every square inch and has alot of energy. I know the owner puts alot of time in though. The dog is also pretty big
I have never used 7 1/2 s for pheasant but I would think that would put way to many pellets in the bird for eating with a good hit. It is bad enough with 5s and 6s. I am not saying not to use them I am just thinking outloud. Did any of you find this to be true with 7 1/2s?
I agree with 870 I have a 20 ga. citori which I love and is my main gun but my uncle has the 12 ga. ,although a great gun I personally think it is way too heavy for the field. Berrrattas are lighter.
I also have a 20 ga. Browning o/u and use it for alot of pheasant hunting . In the 20. ga I choke i/c and full I just think that the full in the 20 gives you that little extra edge when they get up a little further out or if you miss the first shot that say is 20 yds a rooster all out will be...
I THINK the value of extra speed is to give you that extra distance because of the obvious that the shot slows down so that the extra 200 fps could maybe give you an extra 10 yds of killing power
