It just depends. I am very selective when I take a look at a piece of public ground to hunt. If there are trucks there I keep on moving. Its just not worth it to me. I have shot lots of pheasant during this time and I have found some ground that I tend to overlook heading to my normal...

Highland would be my choice as well. You will be close to lots of public ground too. Second shotgun deer season ends on Dec 17 so you could find some wild birds and not see the orange army marching through. Hope you get some shots!

Great video... Your dogs are killin' the quail! There is just something special about quail hunting. I love pheasant hunting, grey partridge hunting anything upland, however, Quail hunting is where its at. Good stuff right there..:thumbsup:

Google Earth is a great time saver. Most areas have some sort of food plot in place. Do the computer work first then the footwork. :thumbsup:

You need the regular small game hunting license and a habitat stamp. That's it. The tags can be added if you want to hunt deer, turkey etc.
