    Is the site having issues?

Had the same issue with both Firefox and Edge, from what Firefox indicated it was an issue with the sites certificate, the domain name in the certificate did not match the URL. I went into the settings to override the blocking Firefox was doing.

    Pheasant Food

Last year I got a rooster with identical tubers, I found the spot he was clawing them up, it was a patch the size of a medium pizza box and a few inches deep. This year a got a young rooster along a flooded pasture that had some green grass and black 3/8" larva and a bunch of water in the...

    Hanging birds

I try to pull the guts as soon as reasonably possible, during a morning break or lunch. I clean out the cavity with paper towel, and leave the feather on. If a day trip I will breast them out the next day, if I am away hunting for up to three days I will do the same when I get home. All that...

    Grouse/Chicken and Snakes

Here in Alberta by the time the pheasant opener comes, Oct 15, the nights are getting cool but still warm enough during the day that the Prairie Rattlers will be out. My big fear is that the dogs run hard and will just run over one and get nailed. I only hunt early season sharptails in areas...

    Ear yeast infection.

Right now my Black Lab has it in one ear. We have a black and chocolate out of the same mother, a year a part. The Choc does not get ear issues only the black does. My vet prescribes Surolan, very similar to Mometamax. The rub is the vet always wants to take an ear culture to see if it is...

    Upland Jacket With A Hood

This was a good option for me, I use it in the afternoons when it is warmer and I want something quick to throw on. I still have a full upland coat that I use for extended walks and late season. https://www.gamehide.com/collections/upland/products/upland-field-hunting-hoodie?variant=39729701519412

    Post your pictures

Handsome Choc! I love how a cackle immediately grabs their attention stopping them in their tracks.

Wind River I do have a few Browning's. but not a rep. It was brand new and the first new gun I bought in several years, so I just could not bring myself to peel it off right away... :ROFLMAO:

    Post your pictures

Roux is very agile, rested my gun by the bird and stepped back to take the picture and there she was sitting admiring "her" bird.

    Cripples

A crippled rooster is something we unfortunately have to deal with from time to time. I agree with AKSkeeter, if your dog sees the bird fall, it's best to let them work it on their own. I’ve found that giving commands can often break their focus. This past Friday, out of the four birds we got...
