    Pheasant loads

I think I have enough to get through the season but everywhere I look everyone is already sold out of Pheasant loads. If you are planning to get loads for the season you might want to start looking now. Anyone know where you can find Pheasant loads that is not sold out? Thanks Tom

    Bird numbers

Hope everyone is having a good season. I am fairly new to Minnesota last year was my first year hunting Pheasants here. From my foxhole it looks like bird numbers are way up. Last year I only killed five birds and I am at 21 so far and have seen birds on every hunt. It looks like a good hatch. I...

    Bird numbers Winter kill

Fairly new to Minnesota. I was out Turkey hunting last week North of Cambridge. Bird numbers do not seem to be affected in this area from the weather. Lots of Roosters crowing in the morning. It looks like the birds came through the winter in good shape. What is everyone else seeing ? Thanks Tom

    Pheasant preserves Metro area

I just moved to Minnesota and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good Pheasant preserve near the Twin Cities area? I have a three year old GSP and a Pointing lab that I would like to get out and work some birds with prior to the season. Thanks Tom

    Public land stocking

Just moved here last year. Still trying to figure out hunting in Wisconsin. I tried to hunt a few public areas where they stock birds but dogs never got birdy. Has anyone ever broke the code on where and when the state stocks birds? Do they still do any stocking this late in the year? Any wisdom...

    Park Falls report

Pointing lab To answer a few questions I used my five year old pointing lab who had never seen a Grouse or hunted in the woods prior to this trip. She is an awesome Pheasant dog who spent the last four years hunting wild Roosters in Kansas. Once she got scent on her first Grouse she figured it...

It was my first Grouse hunt in 24 years so awesome to get a chance to hunt them again, I have not lived in a state with Ruffed Grouse since I left home after collage. The first day was windy and a tough hunt and I only flushed six birds no shots. The 2nd...
