Same as Dakotazeb, I bought a pair of the Irish Setter Havocs this fall as well. I like an uninsulated boot and I really like these boots so far. As you commented....very comfortable. I used a lot this season and they seemed to hold up well.

Did buy a Franchi Instinct SL in the 20 gauge this fall. Took about a month to find one. I was able to find the L but the SLs seemed to go very quickly. Sales rep said the SLs go as quick as they put them on the floor. At any rate...nice gun. Certainly nothing you would use for heavy trap...

I agree with the post above, you should be able to find some decent public spots late season. We do mix both public and some ROW on most trips but once things freeze up and hunting pressure drops, you can find good spots. But since the birds are well educated, the best advice I can give...
