Haha unfortunately for the Pheasants I think walking through fields with my dog and a gun is a lot of fun. Not to mention I shot one of the jack rabbits, so I restocked my fly tying materials, not a total loss :). I am not a huge jack rabbit meat guy so if someone wants the meat they can let...

Hunted all afternoon saw nothing but two jack rabbits. Just a few pheas tracks and a ton of hawks.

I am in Lafayette and wouldn't mind teaming up this weekend if anyone wants to. I have a 1 year old pointer though so don't expect him to be "seasoned" :)

At least it is looking like it won't be 80 degrees :) Good luck folks! This is my first year hunting Pheasants in Colorado with a 1 year old pointer. So yeah... I need all the luck I can get!

Very cool. I did a 2 month program over the summer with my pointer. We went to Ben Garcia at Hideaway Kennels. It was very cool. One thing I liked about doing that was that I went down there every Saturday and spent a couple of hours learning what he was doing and how he was training them...

Which trainer did you go with? Just curious.

I was there and all I can say is when Porter made that pick my ears exploded and I simultaneously jumped higher than my last 100 jumps combined.

me to! I am 0-3 :(. This is the first season I have ever hunted grouse and actually it is the first season I have even gotten back into hunting in 15 years. I have a year old English Pointer and I am a little concerned about losing our training over the summer if I can't get him on anything...
