Watching the dog work is half the fun for me. In fact if I didn't have a dog I might actually see my wife during pheasant season.

CRP that butts up against cattails that aren't more than 30yds deep. This usually lets my shorthair pin down even the big running roosters.

I too have hunted many states. I enjoy pheasant hunting the most so it would have to be the Dakotas. I have spent more time in South Dakota.
