I really like my Danner Gtx Covey rise boots, They are the most comfortable boots I've owned. My only complaint is about the gortex on them leaks a little but im not the best about caring for boots as they should..

I know around colby they have been running for almost a week in some places and they guys where I hunt said that if it doesnt rain they should be done friday..
I just got back from South Dakota last night, had a great time even though the hunting was tough. But it was great to get some dog work in and get a jump on the pheasant season! Saturday can not come soon enough for me!
It has changed hands but the steaks are still good, I belive its still the same name too. We will be stopping there on our way west friday to have a steak and a cold beer for a few.:)
I think we all at one time or another have exspected to much too soon out of our dogs at an early age, like the others have said keep putting him on birds and try to make every outing fun for him. Most of all let him be a pup!
I talked to a custom harvester that I used to work for lastnight, He is in Redfield and just started cutting beans again lastnight. He said he has cut 4 days this month, not a good sign for the crops being out anytime soon:(
Thanks everyone for the info! I went ahead and ordered a pair tonight Im getting them pretty cheap so I figure I will not be out much if they dont work out. Im pretty sure anything will be better than my boots now though!
