I've grown and have lived in South Dakota my entire life, but what happened today during the opener was something that might not happen ever again. We went out in a group of 18, split into two groups....we were having cocktails and discussing the hunt in 48 minutes, limited out. Absolutely nuts...

Access For You I know a few guys around my area that have smaller food plots that would be okay for working with a dog. I don't know if they are looking for any hunters but I would sure ask for you if you wanted. They are very reasonably priced for access.

SD Dove Hunt I will be hunting the second week in September. I have several locations, but I am really looking forward to a small water hole next to a wheat stubble field and tree strip.

Looking Forward to Saturday No, that's not too bad at all. I can't wait until Saturday. I am heading back to my old stomping grounds around the De Smet / Carthage area...the boys back home say we'll be done in a hurry if we're not too rusty and the weather holds up.

Any Luck Did you have any luck for the youth opener? I don't have any kids, and have never had the opportunity since this season was added. It's really good to have this opportunity to get youth involved in the outdoors.
