    Outfitters - U Guide

Our group all sign up early and pay ahead knowing we are going regardless of the hatch and like many have fun no matter the number of birds seen or killed. As Haymaker pointed out, he has his costs regardless of bird numbers and comping a hunt isn’t fair for the farmer. The word Value from the...

    how did ugude's camps do?

Hunted his PC last week and would say bird numbers down 40+ percent. Shot some very small roosters. Some corn standing near the one farm that should make it good for one of the weeks, but all in all....down. First time, I had 2 hens from a previous group returned to my hand by the dogs. No...

    season recap

My son and I shoot PS out of Carlson black cloud, mid range choke tubes.....it's good stuff. Not to many days do we end the day without our birds. I have never understood how some with will spend thousands on decoys or out of state hunts and skimp a $20 box of shells. "I didn't come this far...

    leg cramp remedies

Ditto on this. I have seen guys drink pickle juice and it seems to work. I would have to be in pretty rough shape to drink the stuff.

    Snow Geese Guides

I would do some reading on some of the duck hunting forums. Guys are pretty voiceturouse on guides. Duck hunters refuge or nodak outdoors are a couple forums. I believe Tony Toye hits SD after the birds move out of Missouri.....he's got a good name going. I would use some real caution when...

    Photo of the Year Contest!

Here are a few of my favorites. The one pic with Chopper was posted back on another thread, but thought I would bring it over her. Two of these three boys could only walk, not shoot. They stuck with it for three long days of walking never complaining. I'm sure pop and candy may have help them...

    Heading out tomorrow.

I don't get how that is the case with closer working, slower labs versus the short hairs???? Working cover with a lab may be slower and more tedious, but has always seemed to produce more consistently.

Hi of 56 Degrees Dec 12 - Don't forget your tshirts and sunscreen

No kidding on the fugitives. With the refuge near, your food plots, crp and management its the perfect recipe for big bird numbers.

Hi of 56 Degrees Dec 12 - Don't forget your tshirts and sunscreen

Chris- if it's the same place I am thinking, we witnessed a few hundred flying from the cut corn into the refuge the last evening we hunted. At first, the number of birds had me thinking they were ducks landing in a wet hole, but it didn't take long to realize they were all pheasants. They...
