Remember the birds are going up. Come from the bottom right threw the bird as you pull the trigger. A lot of shooters will shoot under the bird because of shooting to fast or stopping there gun.

Just be thankful the farmers keep putting it into the walk in program. We could be paying the 300.00 dollars and up per day to hunt. Most of the walk ins I was at was pretty good not all but most.

Moellermd check your reg. book it says the bird must have taken flight from within OR BE FLYING OVER THE RIGHT OF WAY.I can find no where in the book where it says the bird has to be shot in the right of way.

snakes We hunt last week of Oct. first week of Nov. In the Pierre area. The only place we have seen snakes is the grasslands. Stay away from prairie dog towns and you should be OK. There is lots of walk in areas just get a atlas and have at it. We are from Mi. also.
