I will take my brother who hasn't hunted mn preasants in 50 years. Sounds like me and my 2year old GSP will walk cattails and brother will stay on the edges. I will start some place near marshall and spend 3 days of fun.

South east It should be southwest

South east decide how far you can drive then look east and pick a county and check DNR site and see what it says about the areas in that county. I think east is more important than south for day trips.

Yesterday I went 2 hours east and soth of the cities to try new spots. My GSP put up two in evergreens and two in cattails. This was about 5 hours. no hens.

I will spend next week with my shorthair near peirre south dakota working sharptails. young dog that needs more wild bird work. Anbyone been there and thoughts on the where to hunt the national grassland?

So Dak I have found the last weekend in oct seems to be less crowded and rooms easier to find Birds on public land may take more work.
