For me yes. I can see the green better than the orange. Maybe I am slighty color blind...

Have you tried different colors of collars? I have trouble distinguishing between hunter orange and the background brown. I use bright green collars on my dogs... Just a thought...

Do what I did get one of each breed! LOL Either choice would be a good one IMO. Shorthairs are easier to find but wirehairs are worth the drive. My wirehair was my first bird dog. I wanted something a little different than normal but wasn't a pain to find. They both have great personalities!!!

Congratulations on the new gun! :cheers: If it were mine I would give it a good cleaning (per instuction manual). Then take it for a few rounds of sporting clays. I shoot IC/MOD in my SXS. Let us know what you think after you shoot it!!!

Prices are ALWAYS negotiable. I went to a big box store once and tried to get them talked down on a $1700 gun b/c I had found it online for $1300. They wouldn't do it. Then I went to my local gun shop (who didn't have one in stock) and asked him how much he would charge to transfer a gun for me...

This is what I do too. I use my GPS as a backup in case I get turned around. Usually with a mix of GPS and the maps its very easy to find your way around... :thumbsup:
