Me and my fiance just got a 3 year old gsp and the guy we got her from said she is trained for hunting. I took her out on the leash and she was sniffing around and seemed like she did well. I want to see if she will be ready to go pheasant hunting in october. Any advice anybody could recommend...

so sorry to hear about your dog!! i know pets become family members and it is hard to part with them. i myself hope to get a lab as a hunting partner some day so i can only imagine the pain and sadness you feel. i do have three other dogs and it is never easy seeing any of them go.

i am new to pheasant hunting also but we went to cheyenne wells and we are from colorado springs. maybe we can meet up sometime and all go togther. we saw quite a few hens and about 10 roosters that were in range.

hey chip i went to sportsmans warehouse and they have one with a 26 inch barrel and the new max 5 camo for $650. im not sure if i want to go with the 26 inch barrel or order one in the 28 inch barrel.

hey dakotazeb, i will take a look at that. i dont believe it is camo though. i am looking for a camo one because i do duck and dove and i am also going to go goose hunting this year. i may just use my double barrel for pheasant and then use the semi auto for everything else.
