What an awesome day! Both of my dogs were on fire �� Should have worn my waders as I got completely soaked from the kness dowm. Scenting conditions were great which allowed for good tracking by the dogs. Had a WIA all to myself and never saw another hunter, heard them! Hope...

Well, I am going to chase quail in Southeast Colorado with my two salty dogs.... Them blues run more than pheasants! The opening day pheasant crowds are usually full of hunters that go once a year. So usual hunting etiquette goes out the window.... Its still fun if you get the chance to go...

Thinking of going out on Saturday. Just cant decide wether to go for pheasants or quail! Anyone from my neck of the woods going and want to jump in with me? Running my DD and my GSP.

Each has a purpose for me! SxS = quick upland shots O/U = Sporting Clays in 12 ga for upland 28ga Semi = waterfowl Pump = when I was a kid ?

I seen some mutts out there chasing pheasants that would put a lot of high end dogs to shame.... Those mutts all they wanted to do was please their owners. It just takes desire from the owner!

Depending how far I need to go. I can stay all weekend. Was planning on hunting Saturday all day and start heading home Sunday around noon.

Anyone know the area well? Could you use some advise on what to hit...!

I had an Onyx and Sporting, The stock dimesions were different, I sold the Onyx and kept the Sporting with 32" pipes... I hunted with that artillery piece for years.

From where you are in Colorado, blues would be yhe easiest to get to. FYI, I chased thosed devils in SE Colorado today:thumbsup:
