I've been using an electrolyte powder for years, It has almost completely stopped the cramps. Try LMNT, or Liquid I.V. First thing in the morning. If I forget or run out I'll get a cramps.
Took my young Springer to South Dakota for wild Pheasants. Bird numbers were amazing, and so was the dog work. However his nose was getting cut from the grass I believe. Nothing serious. Has anyone else seen this and is there a prevention. Thanks
Four of us are going to South Dakota this November. Two of us are driving with the dog, two will be flying. If we have a successful trip we could end up with more than the possession limit for the two driving back with the birds. Is there any option for transporting another hunters birds?
My grand daughter just got a Golden puppy. as soon as we have a solid recall I'll get her out with my springer. Hopefully we will have 2 bird dogs for next season. Stay tuned.
Gators are definitely a big concern. Where I train my dog there are a couple of smaller ponds that we keep the gators out of. I live on a golf course that's loaded with gators, I see one almost every day. I don't duck hunt locally for that reason.
I'm in south Florida. This time of year my only option is swimming or my Springer will overheat. Any field work has to be near water so he doesn't get in trouble. As far as stamina iI don't think anything is better than swimming.
I'm planning a trip with my sons to hunt South Dakota this fall. Driving from south Florida. We want to make the effort worth it. A friend has suggested hunting the Lower Brule Sioux tribal land. Curious if it's worth it. We a completely new to South Dakota hunting.
