I have owned two pair of russells. Not worth the money. Triple vamp is not even what I would call water resistant. and they are heavy. Many other better boots out there.
I have been to SD hunting wild pheasant for the past 20 years. What I have noticed is that my English Setters point very few birds compared to when we are at home on pen raised where they point almost 100% of the birds and I have to kick them in the ARS to get them to fly:-) I think wild...
Yes I agree. Typically the lighter the gun, the more kick and that increases as the load gets heavier. If you have problems with recoil I really would suggest looking at the Benelli 828u. I was amazed at how little the recoil was because of their new recoil system. It would allow you to shoot...
I use a 12 gauge SxS. It's a gun I received as a gift from someone I respected a lot so although it's not the lightest gun I look to use it. SxS also seems to carry with it a bit more nostalgia.
But in the end, if you shoot a gun that you shoot well, you can't go wrong.
I personally don't like to constantly hear bells or beepers in the field. Just my personal preference. I use a beeper collar and if for some reason I don't know where my dog is, I just hit the "locate" button on my beeper and get a single beep to locate the dog. I find that most of the time...
Agreed. You came here to do some research. I'm not an e-collar expert but have been using them for probably 20 years. I use the continuous stimulation mode on my collars but don't ever do more than hit the button for a split second. I keep it on continuous because if I ever really need to...
I only change lenses based on sunlight. I typically wear clear lenses. I'd say 90% of the time. If it is overcast and cloudy and will stay that way I may put in orange or yellow.
If there is snow on the ground the reflection on a bright day can get bad so I'll put in tinted.
But I don't...
Excuse to buy a new choke? Heck and excuse to buy a new gun. The benelli 828u is an ultra light and has an awesome recoil system. Shoot 1 1/4 ounce loads filled with #5s, put in a modified choke and have at it.
