28, subtle wind, cloudy, 2 of us got 4…hour long walk…my buddy is dogless. 4 misses as well, blaming bourbon…today I’m bourbon banger…not good! Other 2 guys showed up a bit ago, both with good dogs…they’re doing a short walk to let the dogs burn off some steam, then we’ll head out. Saw good bird #’s while scouting around at 8:00 am…two areas in particular. Our first hunt was on my ground, which isn’t a bird magnet area this time of year, though we’re snowless and birds have dispersed a bit from previously being a bit bunched up. Supposed to be 50 tomorrow, and in the 40’s through Wednesday. I’ll have to drink better bourbon tonight!
