Yeah, still some good guys around. We were cruising around looking for ground and a guy passed us from the opposite direction. Next think we knew he was behind us waving. I thought we were somehow in trouble, but he saw our orange hats and offered us his place to hunt. It was pretty cool.

ON X doesn't give you their address does it? How do you find that? Iowa used to have address and phone # in their plat books, but I don't think they do it anymore.

Our NW Iowa snow has receded a lot now. I have not been out into the cover. Some of it, like the reeds canary grass is likely flat and done for the season. Switch grass could be standing back up now, will get a peek tomorrow. Guessing you are on the road now. If coming back and you find yourself near NW IA without your 3 IA roosters for the day, reach-out.

We should be good for now, still another week of good weather is predicted here. One issue is that most of the waterways and smaller parcels will not have much standing cover remaining. That reed canary grass flatens-out and doesnt stand back-up like switchgrass. Any public usually has better native grasses.
Got 3 Saturday morning, saw a pile and the food plots are doing their thing.
