I encourage those of you who are trulu interested in the climate change debate to view the first chapter of "Becoming Human" on PBS.
It seems man became man via a more advanced brain size during a period of constant and dramatic CLIMATE CHANGE 2.5 MILLION YEARS AGO. Man had to adapt quickly and did so during this period of dry to extreme wet cycles, and also started eating lots of meat. (IF THIS SHOW IS TO BE BELIEVED)

There's no doubt homo sapiens can adapt to climate change when it happens over geologic time, ie. thousands or tens of thousands of years.

Short term climatic change is another matter. The dinos, and many, many other species became extinct when the climate change was sudden.

If global climate change takes, say 10,000 years, no problem. We and other species will adapt.


If substantial climate change takes place in 50 years, it may be a serious problem.

However I'm beginning to believe it may not make any difference. Homo sapiens now has the ability, 100,000 nuclear weapons worldwide, to exterminate all advanced species in a matter of days.

Buh-bye humans, elephants, pheasants, tigers and sharks. Cockroaches and horseshoe crabs will survive, and the earth will be back where it was 500 million years ago.

Maybe that's the way it should be.

Re the show I mentioned, I just wanted the the J-Bros to understand there is apparently some legitimate thinking counter to climate change, even on PBS. The climate changes (natural) they mention did take place over thousands of years, that is we are simply near the end of a warm cycle and will be freezing our asses off before we know it. ;)

I'm a believer in Foxnews, Shawn Hannity, and Mark Levin. Mike Church is well worth listening to also.

Sean Hannity vs NOAA on climate change. Your prefer Hannity, I prefer NOAA. After all, NOAA has facts and experts, Hannity has talking points. Your choice.

Of course I get my medical advise from an MD, not Glenn Beck (Don't have your kids vaccinated against H1N1, says Beck) Go ahead, take Beck's advise, and if you're unlucky enough to have a child die of H1N1...well, you can always call ole Glenn. Maybe Beck can advise you on brain surgery too.

Funniest thing I ever have seen was your hero Sean Hannity at a Ron Paul rally. Hannity got run off by the Paul folks, wet his pants and locked himself in his hotel room.

Remember Hannity's boast the he'd be waterboarded if it "helped the families of out troops"? Olberman offered him $1000 donated to families of troops per second to do it. Hannity wet himself and never again mentioned waterboarding. He's a loudmouth coward.

Do let me know if anyone, ever, from Fox News steps up and actually DOES something, other than run their mouths.

And Olbermann. Did he, or did he not, offer Hannity $1000./second , and did Hannity, or did he not, run and hide? Did Hannity run and hide from the Ron Paul folks, or did he not?

I'll bet you, Dakotazeb, that I own more guns than you and have shot more birds than you. I've shot SD pheasants on the past and plan to again. You can hope all you like, I don't need your permission. You might also like to know that I live in a state which is far more conservative than SD. After all, the good folks of SD had the sense to defeat Prop 6 the last time I was there, something which would not happen in SC.

I have probably 5 guns to my name, who cares. I grew up in SD, and I'm sure I've shot more birds than you, but who really cares, right. I enjoy hunting for the overall experience, not the killing part of it. I truly enjoy the outdoors and that's what is special about it. You & your buddy Keith Overbite should go hunting sometime. But he's probably against hunting, isn't he? Listen, didn't mean to get you going. I just completely disagree with probably everything liberals stand for. Just about everything.

OK I saw part of the program, I hope we don't have to do that again. My line will starve out. I can't run around the block anymore let alone chase deer like game on foot till they have heat stroke, and stand there to let me spear them. :D

Let me know when your in SD, just so I'm not there at that time.
I'm hoping to keep the liberals elsewhere, like Minneapolis and such, so it's still a good conservative state when I move back in a couple years.
