I'm under the correct assumption CREP lands in general should have better habitat than walk in areas due to walk ins can be hayed and likely will be this year?

My experience has been that CREP grass is MORE likely to be mowed/hayed than a WIA. Not necessarily MUCH more likely, but a bit. At least where I hunt.
I know very little about farming, but my guess is that CREP in my area usually has more diverse grass types that are more desirable as livestock fodder. WIAs tend to be more of the big bluestem, switchgrass type of stuff.
