MN. USDA Crop Harvest Report

This is the Weekly crop harvest report for all of Minnesota. They update weekly and post it thru this link.

Just click on "PDF" under the latest or current date on the calendar and look for Corn harvested for grain.

As of Oct. 5th it appears only 5% of the corn statewide has been harvested and farmers are 2 weeks behind.

The latest report due today hasn't been published yet, but i thought it would be interesting compare all of the corn producing states as of October 5th.

WOW ! Beans really making a progress since last week, with 62% harvested, up from 23% last week.

Corn... not so good, only up 2% from 5 to 7% harvested. Corn simply too wet to harvest. This week looks to be somewhat dry again and warmer, lets hope that helps conditions a bit.

State of Minnesota for the week ending Sunday October 19. Corn harvested for grain 16% average 47%. Beans harvested 85% average 81%

With this ideal weather we've had, they're going to town. If it holds, maybe another week or two tops should all but do it.
