    Different Breeds

Several different breeds. Currently I am hunting over a Small Munsterlander and have another one on the way (like tomorrow). The breed does everything I desire a good dog hunting/house dog to do. Very pleased with the breed, but I will agree with what was stated earlier. Dog breeds can vary and...

Food vs. Fuel, the rocky road ahead

OP thank you. It is water under the bridge. I fully agree with you about corn (or any grain) being used for ethanol production should not be pursued. My only point about ethanol is. It can be produced from a variety of things. Grains, just happens to be the easiest to use since that technology...

    Sandhills dove?

Man I went on vacation in the UP one time when I had Springers. Took a walk in some woods. Started to bump that flying jets....how the heck does a fella hit one of those I thought. If I ever got a chance to go back I will take my versatile dog (he points) and drop you a line.

    Any Weber Smokey Mountain Fans?

Thank you Mike for sharing that. I am going to try that on a butt once it gets a tad bit warmer in my neck of the woods

I never said gas would need to be $8.00 a gallon for new technologies to be viable. It appears having a logical discussion about this subject is not going happen.

I agree, one part of the solution would be to generate power closer to where the power would be used. The process of moving electricity through copper wires produces heat via resistance. Heat is a sign of energy being lost. Energy being lost via transportation is waste. Generate the power...

Food vs. Fuel, the rocky road ahead

I disagree about all ethanol being useless. As time goes by and prices increase for petroleum based energy. Alternatives will come to the market using better and better technologies. That is what happens in market driven economies...

I know that their is a Ethanol plant that is going to be built in South Sioux City. The plant will be a cellulose plant. In reference to the article, it is dated 2008. At that time I am sure the facts were accurate, but the technology has changed. It will continue to change. Now the plant...

Never tried a Boston Butt Mike, but I am going to now. Your technique is very similar to how I do my brisket. On your brisket. Do you remove the fat before smoking? Myself I leave the fat on and put that side on the top. I feel it allows the fat that does melt to work its way through the meat.

    Any Weber Smokey Mountain Fans?

Wildcat, I do not own a WSM. I do own a Weber kettle with propane ignition and a propane gas grill. I can describe my opinion is two words. LOVE THEM. If I am short on time I go to the gas. If I have the time. I go to the kettle every time. Now the WSM is an elongated Weber kettle, as I am...

    E-Collar at 7 months??

Not offended at all. Please allow myself to try to clear something up. I agree a dog needs to know a command has been given and the Alpha needs to be obeyed. What I was attempted to explain about the warning tone is this. When first training a dog. The tone, followed by the nick. The two...

    Beretta silver pigeon 1

The twenty. I have the twenty and I have shot plenty of birds with it. You will find that the light gun swings fast. Over a pointing dog that gun will do just fine. ;) The end of your second sentence is all you need to know about a gun.
