Browning BSS 20 ga.

Did you pattern it to see if it shoots to point of aim? Barrel regulation could be wrong.

I have not, and I do need to do that. I also need to get the barrels mic'd to see if they are actually tighter than the IC/Mod they are suppose to be. I know some of the older Browning fixed choke guns were quite tight. When I have hit a quail at the trials I blew them up pretty good.
 
I just bought my 6th last shotgun! A 28 ga Mossberg SA28. Fondled it & couldn't resist. Should be just the ticket for the "easy" ones.
