Hi All, New from Longmont Colorado

I am new to the site and new to hunting. I have decided one day to try to hunt goose and ducks, in the process i have met a new friend and in the process he called in a flock of geese, since then i am so hooked on waterfowl.
As we hunt my buddy bring his yellow lab, omg!! he is a good waterfowl dog. i was so jealous wish i had a waterfowl dog like tank.
This year i want to take on a new quest on my hunting adventure along with my sons, We want to take on upland hunting. In the process i thought i should get a hunting companion, Now I have a best friend, We have a German shorthair pointers name Maximus he is 8month old from Nebraska, and a female GSP name Bella from SC, she is 5month now.
Smartest breeds i ever own.
This weekend Max will be away for gun dog training for months. hopefully enough time for pheasants.

Now i have my gears and dogs, now i just have to study the world of upland hunting, what other place to find good info then this site. Any advice is greatly appreciated, and anyone who is willing to give this new kid in the block some upland pointers, please let me know.
 
Welcome to the forum. How about posting some photos of your new dogs. Share you upland stories as you take on a new type of hunting this coming season.

this is Maximus- 8 months, he is leaving this Saturday for his Gundog training, glad that we got visitation rights during his training. :-)

You sound like my kind of guy " full steam ahead". That's pretty much how I do everything too:). Man I am not a GSP guy, but those are some good looking dogs you got there. Love the liver head with a heavily ticked body. Good luck in your adventures.

Small world, I live in Longmont too. Where did you send your dog for training ? My Brittany pup is headed to hide away kennels in 2 weeks for some training.
 
Hi. Nice to have some in area. I sent him to mark pace in colorado spring. First week so far. And so far so good.
 
Hi there. I have only seen 1 Brittany in longmont. You dont happen to live near alpine elementary school do you.?

we have luke ran dogs last week wih ben ran lukes pup gus with one of his litter mates named duke getting ready for field trials and hunting!
