Identify this plant

Anybody know what this plant is? It is in my cp 37 crp stand.

It's called Salsify. It has an edible root that is the equivalent of a vegetable oyster I believe.

PD, I got that same diagnosis from my PF biologist. He said it was a harmless weed/forb.

If it is harmless and attracts insects, that is a good thing right? Unless it spreads like crazy! You said it was in your mix? It would be interesting to know why they stuck it in there! Looks like you are doing a fine job on raising some little ones.:thumbsup:

It was in the 2 cp 37 stands I have. Real spotty though. Not sure they put it in the mix or not but sounds like not unless it got in by accident.
