TennesseeTraveler, just a biologist’s pet peeve…singular = “Canada goose”, plural = “Canada geese”. ‘Canadian’ goose is not correct…again, just a pet peeve and point of education, not criticism.

I also love labs because they are happy and energetic, but easy to control.

I have seen some incredible Lab retrieves that I believe would kill the Griffon that I have now. I once watched my Dad's Lab retrieve a wounded pheasant across the entire width of the Snake River (Swan Falls Idaho) which had to be a mile wide. I also watched the same dog retrieve a duck from the white water portion of the Snake River just down stream from Swan Falls. It dog pinned up against rocks and went over a couple of small water falls and got the duck, swam to shore at least 2 miles down stream and brought that duck all the way back. I have nothing but respect for Labs.
