Seeing prices below $2.45 consistently, even lower…some places in MN below $2.20. Lowest I recall paying was .99 cents as I drove to NE to turkey hunt in ‘99 or ‘00…the day Columbine happened. Anyway, today’s prices are close adjusted for inflation. I burn more gas than shotgun shells or eggs or milk…pretty sweet! We put on north of 45,000 miles annually…my wife is 5k of those…I burn 2000 gallons annually myself, +\-…a bit more…mostly from 9/1-1/31….think all hunting season it’s been under $3. Based on averages over the past 15 years, gas could be $4-5 and be in line with the CPI overall, assuming 2.5% inflation. Pretty sweet! I used to be able to prepay gas at a farm elevator in SD and a gas station in St Cloud, MN…wish I still could! I’d buy a decent amount right now, and keep buying if it trends lower. In the meantime, good time for road trips!
