Just thought of something else. A local company (actually, they just shut down their local operations, but have others around the country) has a group of guys that always had a gun raffle every year, can't remember what the proceeds went to, but it was a 'charitable' cause of some sort.
Anyways, there was always 5 guns in the raffle, winner take all.
Browning autoloader .22 rifle
Browning Buckmark .22 pistol (one of the upper end ones)
Browning O/U shotgun
Browning autoloader shotgun
Browning A-bolt rifle of varying caliber depending on year.
I think they limited it to 1,000 tickets and they cost $20 each. (numbers could be off on that, but tickets were limited, costs weren't $1 each)
They always sold all their tickets and had a pretty good chunk of change to donate to their cause. I never won, but had a friend that did one year. They'd hold their raffle at various events throughout the year, county fair, arts and crafts festival, homecoming events, etc until the tickets ran out.
